Country and chic from around the world

What makes it country? Does it always have to be a look or can it just be a feeling? Pictures from around the world carrying the tag “country” are everywhere right now if you take a closer look on the web and/or magazines.
The best part of it:
  1. Country can be very “chic”
  2. Country can be very different from one place to another (I was tempted to write “from one country to another”)
  3. It doesn’t matter if you are modern or classic you can always mix in a little touch of country.

Just take a look and tell me what you think…

I can’t believe my (very Mediterranean) oleander is still blooming at this time of the year on this latitude (I’m between Paris and Belgium, after all!)

See you,

Carmen Dee

Details always count

Have you ever realized what is the difference between a nice design and a great design? Yes, it’s just details. A finish look, a little touch, the exact size of an object, the vignette arrangement…just details. That is what makes a great design so difficult to achieve. What is obvious to someone may be just an “insignificant detail” to others…
I think I may start paying a little more attention to details. The way you stage a bookcase or a shelve is very reveling

The way you wrap a gift or a favor…

…Or the way you set a casual table…

…Even a “cheese and wine party” between good friends can go from good to great with just a little attention to details…

As you see, details always count!!!
See you
